WHAT IS THE AVERAGE COST OF WEEKLY POOL MAINTENANCE
In the Burlington and Oakville area, professional pool maintenance typically ranges from $60 to $160 per week, depending on the level of service required. At Crush Pools, we offer three transparent tiers to fit your lifestyle:

Chemical Check ($59 + HST/week): We handle the science (testing, balancing, and brushing) so you can handle the swimming.

Full Weekly Service ($94 + HST/week): Our most popular “worry-free” option, including full manual vacuuming and debris removal.

VIP Twice-Weekly ($159 + HST/week): Recommended for properties with heavy tree coverage or high-traffic family pools.

MY POOLS IS CLEAR DO I STILL NEED A SERVICE VISIT?
Yes! Clear water doesn’t always mean balanced water. Corrosive pH levels or low stabilizer can damage your equipment long before the water turns cloudy. Regular maintenance catches these “invisible” problems early, saving you thousands in repair costs.
WHY IS MY POOL WATER GREEN EVEN THOUGH MY CHLORINE LEVELS ARE HIGH?
This is a common frustration known as “Chlorine Lock.” Even if your test kit shows high chlorine, that chlorine may be chemically “bound” and unable to kill algae. This usually happens because your Stabilizer levels have become too high, or your pH balance is off, rendering the chlorine ineffective. Essentially, the chlorine is in the water, but it isn’t “working.”Content goes here ..
HOW OFTERN SHOULD I TEST MY POOL WATER?
For a standard backyard pool in the Burlington area, you should perform a basic test at least 2 to 3 times per week during the swimming season. However, if your pool sees heavy use (like a weekend pool party) or experienced a heavy rainstorm, you should test it daily until levels stabilize. Regular testing prevents “green pool” emergencies before they start.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CLEAN MY POOL FILTER?
This depends on your filter type. Sand filters should be backwashed every 1–2 weeks (or when pressure rises to 20 PSI). Cartridge filters should be pulled and sprayed down every 4–8 weeks, with a professional chemical soak once per season.
