WHAT TYPE OF FILTER IS BEST FOR MY POOL?
The “best” filter depends on your priorities:

Cartridge Filters: Best for water conservation (no backwashing) and superior clarity. They trap smaller particles than standard sand.

Sand Filters: The most budget-friendly and easiest to operate. Great for large pools where “set it and forget it” maintenance is preferred.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CLEAN OR BACKWASH MY FILTER?
You should clean your filter when the pressure gauge reads 8-10 PSI higher than its “clean” starting pressure.

Cartridge: Usually requires a deep spray-down every 4–8 weeks depending on bather load.

WHAT IS GLASS MEDIA, AND WHY IS IT BETTER THAN SAND?
Glass media is made from recycled glass and is a direct replacement for pool sand. It has several advantages:

Finer Filtration: It traps particles down to 5–10 microns (standard sand only catches 20–40).

Saves Water: Because it’s less dense, backwashing is faster and more efficient.

Longevity: Glass media can last 8–10 years, whereas pool sand usually needs replacing every 3–5 years

HOW LONG DO FILTER CARTRIDGES LAST?
With proper cleaning, most high-quality cartridges last 2–3 seasons. If you notice the fabric is fraying, the plastic ends are cracked, or the pressure remains high even after a thorough cleaning, it’s time for a replacement.
CAN A BETTER FILTER REALLY SAVE ME MONEY?
